The Parts I Keep Inside is the direct product of what can happen when creation is all that an artist has to focus on. Born out of quarantine in 2020, the music of the song cycle received a multitude of informal “workshops” with the help of the would-be cast members and musicians of the Off-Broadway production.
The show entered rehearsals in June of 2021 for its world premiere, produced by Rye Entertainment, at The Triad Theater in July of that year. During a pandemic, the show was able to sell out the entire house.
Following this debut, the work underwent edits and improvements and was adapted into a book musical which debuted at The Triad Theater in July of 2022.
